2024 IMPACT SUMMARY

Over 150 projects were completed throughout the area, providing various opportunities for everyone regardless of age or ability. Participants came together to focus on specific concerns such as hunger, homelessness, education, the environment, veterans, immigration, etc.


WHO WE TOUCHED

Our volunteers demonstrated that those in need are not forgotten:

  • Packed over 3,000 Hygiene kits for unhoused in our community

  • Built 450 Science Kits for low-income students

  • Cleaned four beaches, removing 200 lbs of trash & 56 lbs of recycling

  • Prepared 1,500 hot meals served to unhoused at shelters and RV parks

  • Packed 72,000 meals for International Hunger Relief

  • Created hundreds of fleece blankets, hats, and scarves were delivered, showing someone cares

  • Collected and sorted a library of books for a community in Uganda

  • Donated 130 Life-sustaining blood donations

  • Sewed and shipped 900 Feminine kits to Ethiopia

In the 12 years since Compassion Week started, I have worked on at least 50 projects, met scores of new people, learned new skills, and had a blast. It’s a highlight of every year
